Da Capo is a local favorite choral group currently directed by John Waldie and accompanied by Patrick Speckamp. Da Capo performs a variety of musical genres, from pop, to jazz to Broadway at venues throughout the Mount Washington Valley. This group is full of energy and is sure to entertain audiences of all ages.
The Mollyockett Chorus, a chapter of Harmony Inc., sings 4-part a cappella music ranging from traditional barbershop and show music to contemporary favorites.
The High Street Jazz Band is a multi-piece band performing jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. This lively group of local musicians gather weekly to play jazz standards, show tunes, and selections from the Great American Songbook, including classics from the big band era. These gatherings have developed into an engaging jazz ensemble of talented musicians. If you enjoy jazz standards, you will love this band.

Rodney Marsalis - trumpet
Mr. Marsalis was born in New Orleans, Louisiana where he began his musical studies at the age of six. When he was eleven years of age, he began taking classical trumpet lessons with his cousin, Wynton Marsalis. Referred to as a "trumpet prodigy" his solo debut was at the age of fifteen with the New Orleans Symphony. After having won various solo competitions, he received national attention at the age of nineteen performing as soloist with the Boston Pops Orchestra. He has also performed as soloist with the San Diego Symphony, the Tenerife Symphony, the Orquestra Sinfonica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and many orchestras throughout the United States and Europe. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Rodney Marsalis has worked under the guidance of world renowned conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, Michael Tilson Thomas, Gerard Schwarz, James DePreist, John Williams, Jesus Lopez- Cobos and Christopher Hogwood. Rodney Marsalis is an award-winning musician, teacher, and recording artist. Rodney can be heard as Soloist and Principal Trumpet on more than thirty different recordings with labels such as Decca, Naxos, Koch International Classics, and Albany Records.
The Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass is America’s premier large brass ensemble. A group that always reflects the diverse makeup of men and women in the American culture, RMPBB is dedicated to the notion that music is a gift to be enjoyed by everyone. The Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass is a family-owned and operated business that had its beginnings on the streets of New Orleans. On the advice of family patriarch Ellis Marsalis, the group created a concert format that breaks the usual barriers between genres and strives to create a connection between the audience and performers. A veritable "dream team" of virtuoso brass players, the group burst onto the music scene with a debut performance in Philadelphia's Kimmel Center in Verizon Hall, a residency for the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, and a special feature on the National Public Radio show, "All Things Considered."
Magdaliz Roura is the co-founder, manager, guitarist, and lead singer of the Latin Ensemble “Magdaliz and Her Latin Ensemble Crisol”. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from an early age, she showed a talent for music by singing, playing instruments by ear, and improvising. She has performed with many and varied musical ensembles, and choirs, in Puerto Rico and the USA. After obtaining her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico she moved to Philadelphia in 1994 to continue her education in the Music Therapy field. She has been living in Philadelphia since then and works as a musician, music therapist, Spanish teacher, dancer, licensed medical interpreter trainer, certified Spanish interpreter in the courts and hospitals, and volunteer within the Latin community. She has performed as a soloist, with her ensemble “Magdaliz and Her Latin Ensemble Crisol”, and as guest artist with other ensembles. Crisol, Spanish for "melting pot," is a Latin ensemble founded in Philadelphia back in 1997. This group is dedicated to the interpretation of a variety of folk and traditional musical genres from all over Latin America and the Caribbean including Mexican huapangos, Mariachi music, Colombian cumbias, Puerto Rican danzas, salsa, Cuban sones, Dominican merengues, Puerto Rican plenas, and many more.
Miss Maybell & Her Ragtime Romeos play a large repertoire of Early Jazz, Ragtime and Blues. They source their tunes from dusty old 78 records and antique sheet music, trying to give new life to songs created over 100 years ago! With this unique sound and dedication they were recently featured on The NPR Show “Person, Place, Thing” With Randy Cohen. The group has also developed a large & devoted fan base on Social Media, with one of their recent instagram videos going viral & emassing well over 3 Million views. Miss Maybell and her band have grown a large following throughout the US playing legendary venues such as Birdland in NYC as well as Lincoln Center. They have also earned a substantial international following from performing regularly in Europe, recently headlining Sevilla Swing in Seville, Spain and selling out a week of shows at Marian's Jazz Room in Bern, Switzerland. Gospel Music - comprised of members of the North Fryeburg Community Chapel. They play every Sunday and lead the congregation in hymns both old and new, as well as contemporary songs centered on the Christian Faith. Led by Micah Voter on lead vocals, piano and guitar, the other members include Gabriel Voter on keyboards, Dave Hockey on guitar and vocals, Tom Chandel on bass guitar, Ed Bonello on drums and vocals, and Carole Belanger on vocals. The band will perform some of their best-loved songs and accompaniment.
The DellaValla Trio - teenage siblings Molly (19), Joseph (17), and John (14) - plays high-energy bluegrass standards and original tunes with joyful improvisation and youthful charm. Their sound blends traditional roots with genre-crossing surprises, keeping every set dynamic and engaging. From small listening rooms to large stages, they deliver heart, energy, and a family vibe to every audience. Beyond the music, they’re natural storytellers and thoughtful educators, weaving personal stories and insights into their performances in ways that deepen the experience and resonate with listeners. They bring a unique ability to engage audiences, offering not just entertainment, but meaningful connection.
The Brick Church for the Performing Arts proudly presents the Bradley Jazz Collective on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Founded in 2015 to perform the inaugural concert for Bradley Backstage concert series at the Leura-Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center, the Bradley Jazz Collective prioritizes musical interaction and spontaneity in its fresh interpretations of the jazz repertoire. The group includes Tom Robinson, piano, Mike Sakash, saxophone, Al Hospers bass, and Craig Bryan Jr.,drums; musicians that have been playing together for more than a decade in a variety of musical contexts. For the past several years the BJC closed its summer season of concerts with a performance at the Lovell Brick Church for the Performing Arts, an ideal venue for intimate, acoustic music.
